Flagship since the 1990s
A classical Bordeaux blend that has stayed true to its composition since it was first produced in the 1990s — dominated by Cabernet franc, amplified by Merlot and complemented by Cabernet Sauvignon. Grapes are hand-picked, moved by gravity, and matured for three years in oak, foudre and cement.

Custodianship
Making wines that embody origin is the aim. High on the Helderberg, vineyards have been tended for more than a century. The team works as custodians of this terroir — rehabilitating Cape flora and keeping a balance between vineyard and the indigenous landscape around it.
Helderberg
Altitude, ancient soils, slope and proximity to the Atlantic set this estate apart. Taaibosch sits between 250 and 380 metres above sea level, 7.5 km from the False Bay shoreline. Table Mountain sandstone over Cape granite, cooled by Antarctic currents, shapes the character of the wines.
